You can expect a variety of experts including biologists, ornithologists, geologists, historians and photographers – all of whom are there to guide onshore expeditions and provide lectures aboard Silver Endeavour. These experts are in addition to the professional expedition team, well-versed in safety and comfort in the polar regions.

Whilst in the Antarctic area you will be offered several types of expeditions – group hikes, active kayaking and Zodiac cruising. Aboard a Zodiac you’ll hear large sheets of ice break off a millennial glacier or even catch sight of a great humpback whale as it spy hops vertically out of crystal clear waters to make itself known. The Expedition Team members will get you close to the action, all you have to do is climb onboard.

On hikes you’ll get up close and personal with the stunning landscapes and teeming wildlife of this extraordinary place. Keep a lookout for unique fauna as you hike and, who knows, you might just make a new feathered friend as you are introduced to colonies of Adèlie Penguins, Chinstrap Penguins and Gentoo Penguins.

Feeling brave? Try kayaking in the calm waters, around towering icebergs and alongside glaciers. You might even

spot a leopard seal as it glides alongside you. The on-board experts conduct daily presentations to ensure your experience is as educational and informative as it is exciting.
